Sri Lankan expatriate workers in Doha Qatar say that the embassy charges Riyal 200 (around Rs. 6000) per a document attested.
The expatriate workers have to get the attestation of the embassy when submitting identity documents such as birth and marriage certificates to the Immigration and Emigration of Qatar in relation to matters such as visa.
The Sri Lankans point out that the high charge levied is very unfair and urges the Foreign Ministry to focus its attention to the problem.
